Paris, part two.
In this collection, the green leaves have almost completely gone and the Paris landscape has been replaced with golden yellows. The air is getting cooler and are we are completely smitten with the city. We spent time wandering through the 6th, along the infamous St Germain Boulevard, we couldn’t resist the temptations of Pierre Herme macarons and the lure of alfresco cafè dining, croque monsieur and people watching. We strolled countless times along the Seine and soaked in the last of the sun rays before the winter chill took hold, in the Jardin des Tuileries. We spent a rainy day at Musee L’Orangerie, visited the beautiful architecture of the Louvre at sunrise, and got lost wandering through Plac des Vosges.
Our daily walks around our neighbourhood took us around the Panthéon and through Rue Moffetard. Fresh blooms and artisan pastries from our local boulangerie were a daily temptation. We visited the Grand Mosqueé de Paris and it’s tea house and spent many evenings marvelling at iconic Paris sites by night. We photographed the Eiffel Tower at dusk, admired Paris from above at the top tower platform and wandered through the Palais de Tokyo building, saw our first frozen water feature of the season and watched the sun set with more views of the Eiffel Tower.
